Feature Frenzy: 2025 in Review

A Year of Awesome Upgrades and Brand New Functionality

Our mission is to deliver dynamic features every year that totally change the way our users interact with the product, always evolving the platform to increasingly automate, accelerate and scale logistics operations.

We wanted to look back at five, nay, six ways that we have made serious upgrades to the CXT Software application suite in 2025.

#1: Geofencing Hard Enforcement

Geofencing a driver’s pick-up and delivery sites means they need to be within a certain radius to complete their workflows. Originally, it would just warn drivers if they opted to complete their workflow outside the radius but hard enforcement, an option we added this year at our users’ request, steps it up.

With it turned on, a driver absolutely, positively must be inside the geofence in order to complete their workflow. This hard requirement is great for newer drivers in training and preventing drivers from getting similar sounding areas or streets mixed up. It’s a straightforward but mighty feature in the Operations App, one we recommend you take full advantage of if you haven’t already. You can read more about it here.

#2: Itinerary Planning

AKA Dynamic Routing (as it’s commonly called in the TMS space), our Itinerary Planning module intelligently sorts over a thousand shipments to drivers or routes in just a couple clicks.

Itinerary Planning factors in driver capabilities, vehicle weight limits, fuel efficiency VS time efficiency, and more, to output highly optimized itinerary proposals that can be adjusted in seconds with the drag-and-drop interface.

It’s a great tool that is especially ideal for any kind of pharmaceutical or distribution work, and we recommend you check it out!

#3: Custom SMS Messages

An add-on to our Message Formats module, it gives you incredible customization over the SMS notifications you send to customers. With its variable fields, you can pull all sorts of data right from shipments, turning it into a text message personalized for each customer.

Customized text notifications are a great way to manage your customer’s expectations and provide a smooth experience.

#4: Driver Self-Optimization

Good news; we’re not just talking about one feature here, but three! But we’ll count them all together.

This year, we added (with the permission enabled) the ability for drivers to self-optimize their routes, both On-Demand and Routed work. This cuts out time they need to spend waiting and lets them get into action MUCH faster.

At the same time, we included the ability for driver to add a preferred end location, which their sequences will attempt to put at the, well, the end. This is a great way to relieve driver stress and boost morale, by letting them finish out their day at home or wherever they like to relax.

#5: Actions and Labels

Don’t be fooled; while Actions and Labels quietly squeaked out into existence late this year, probably flying under the radar for some, the team has been steadily adding onto it, and it’s become quite the impressive system.

Your context-sensitive Labels can apply predetermined Actions to shipments, customer records, order types, you name it!Right now there are three Actions that can be applied: Early Driver Arrival Prevention, POD Requirements and Prerequisite Pickup for Delivery.

The team will add more Actions over time but this is a powerhouse trio to start. Don’t be shy; give the documentation a read to see how you can begin strategically applying labels in the Operations App.

#6: SOC 2 Compliance Certification

SOC 2 isn’t just a win for us, but a win for you! After all, our software is your software, and your customers entrust their security and privacy to you all the same.

All it takes is one data breach to lose trust. SOC 2 compliance ensures that your data is shielded, and your goodwill, secured. With recent cybersecurity attacks in healthcare, many health institutions nowhave dealbreaker security requirements. SOC 2 is your green stamp.
