Director of Professional Services

  • Lead a team with responsibilities that include custom software development, implementation and delivery of integration solutions, training, and support.
  • Manage and mentor two team leads for both the customer-facing services side of our professional services division and the engineering team tasked with rapid deployment of custom development solutions to meet client expectations.
  • Plan and manage client-driven projects and custom development to support the growing needs of transportation logistics clients, matching their urgency and commitment.
  • Lead team members, focusing on nurturing, promoting, inspiring and mentoring your team towards a culture of customer service, urgency, and profitability.
  • Analyze current operating procedures, developing and implementing a plan to improve the efficiency of current tools, project management methodologies & processes.
  • Establish and maintain key KPIs and metrics that will be used to monitor team progress in improving customer service and profitability.
  • Oversee the professional services budget, ensuring efficient allocation and maximized returns!
  • Work closely with Business Development leadership to grow service revenue and maintain profitability margins.
  • Lead a successful major internal software development project to implement an industry-leading next-generation enterprise service bus that can accommodate rapid integration development and deployment, effective monitoring and debugging, and reduction in technical debt and support requirements.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional services experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, business administration or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and people simultaneously.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in developing and delivering professional B2B service offerings in a SaaS or related industry.
  • Experience in managing and coaching technical professional services teams.
  • Minimum 3 years experience contributing to or managing technical projects relating to integrating two or more proprietary systems for real-time data synchronization.
  • Strong work ethic and a “do whatever it takes to get the job done” attitude to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Transportation/Courier/Delivery/Logistics industry experience.
  • $120,000 – $130,000 annual salary range

Are you ready to jump into the driver’s seat and turbo-charge our rapidly expanding technical client services division? We’re scouting for a Director of Professional Services who has the energy and vision to take our technical services to the next level. You’ll be leading a seasoned group of professionals, with a combination of technical and customer service skills, who are looking for a visionary leader that can both increase our revenue and improve our service excellence.

 

This role encompasses a blend of responsibilities, including internal team member management, high-level project management, technical competency, and customer-facing leadership.

 

The director’s success in this role hinges on her or his ability to achieve exceptional results in both customer satisfaction and service revenue generation. The Director of Professional Services is anticipated to be involved in overseeing all customer-facing concierge, custom work, and integration projects, collaborating with various teams, and consistently strategizing with the COO on processes and planning new methods to reach and exceed our growing goals. The role also entails planning and implementing the vision of our next-generation service bus framework for integrations and custom automation that empower our team members to even more rapidly meet our customers’ needs.

 

You’ll play a pivotal role with supervisory responsibilities, directly reporting to the COO. Be prepared for some adventure with occasional travel (0-5% annually) to customer sites as well as visiting team members in person.

  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in client success, relationship management, or a similar role, ideally within the tech, SaaS, or logistics sector.
  • Proven track record of enhancing client satisfaction and driving successful outcomes.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in managing projects and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with a diverse range of clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical prowess and strategic thinking, with a knack for translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM suites greatly favored, enhancing our ability to manage and analyze customer interactions efficiently.
  • In-depth experience with the CXT Software product suite stands out as a significant advantage, signaling familiarity with our core operational tools.
  • We highly value practical experience, giving preference to candidates with a robust foundation in technical support and customer service. Skills in software troubleshooting are particularly sought after. Although degrees in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related areas are beneficial, the capacity to directly assist customers and resolve software challenges takes precedence.
  • $60,000 – $70,000 annual salary range
