We missed you last month as we spent the summer hunkered down working on a few large-scale improvements that will be coming your way over the next few months. We hope you’ll be excited about the latest enhancements – we sure are!
Β
Jumping on in to this month’s release – we’ve got lots of features coming your way to enhance your routed workflow and administrative back office operations. More feature parity is making its way into the modern Operations App and we can’t wait for you to check it out. This release has a little bit of something for everyone so let’s get right to it. π
Efficiency is the name of the game, and we’re helping you fine tune route planning with an enhanced level of route optimization in the Operations App. We’re stoked to roll out the latest iteration of route optimization that provides more accurate ETAs based on street driving paths, versus “as the crow flies” measurements between two address points. These more precise calculations will give way for improved time and distance estimations and refined results for more efficient route planning. You’ll find this feature listed as “Basic Optimization v2” in Tools > Route Optimization for both On Demand and Route services.
Β
In addition to route optimization, we’ve introduced a number of enhancements throughout the routed workflow:Β Β
Got drivers with complex itineraries overlapping several routes? A parcel can now be route chained up to 30 stops (increased from the previous maximum limit of 10).
Need an on-off button for your routed work? With new permission-based capabilities, the option to Activate All and Deactivate All stops is now available in the modern Operations App. This feature is available on the Visual Dispatch Board route manifest, Active Work page, and Routed Shipments tab.
Looking to easily identify your driver's activity? With the newly added Route Status filter, you can filter their work by Open, Completed, or Both on the Visual Dispatch Board's Driver Active Work page.
Big news for our First Adopters – we’re seeking beta testers for the
new On Demand Shipments functionality in the modern Operations App!
Β
While we put the finishing touches on shipment and customer record functionality in the web-based platform, we’d love to get some firsthand testing and feedback on the layout and workflow of the new On Demand Shipments form (formerly called the Orders Form).
Β
To get started, submit a ticket to our Support Team requesting access to the On Demand Shipments form for testing. Please note this is only available to First Adopters at this time.
