The latest improvements to the Operations App are certified fresh. πŸ†Β 


After hundreds of hours of architecting and development by our Product and Engineering Teams, our on-demand Visual Dispatch Board has an updated look and expanded functionality to simplify your dispatching needs. A long awaited enhancement to our product suite, you can keep the most essential data on your screen for easy viewing with improved display options now integrated into the dispatch board.

  • Customizable View to Fit Your Needs

    With an expanded container view, there are dozens of options to layout the Visual Dispatch Board. Drag and resize different portions of the screen to see more of what you need, move your map or grid to a new position, choose full map mode, select grid only mode to focus on your dispatching data, and more.

  • Easy to Navigate + Improved Performance

    No longer embedded in the classic Operations App, the on-demand Visual Dispatch Board launches in a new browser tab. This new functionality allows you to maintain visibility into your operational tools while having the full view of the dispatching board with improved responsiveness of the application.

  • Make Us a Favorite!

    Do you launch the Operations App frequently? Navigating to the app is now easier with the ability to save it as a progressive web app accessible directly from your desktop toolbar.

  • Put a Pin in It

    Control what you see on the screen with pinnable icons. Users can select commonly used menu items to pin in each individual grid of the layout.

  • It's All About the View

    Need to get a better view of your map or take in the complete grid mode to review your upcoming shipments? Action menus can be minimized in the new dispatch board view to help you see the big picture.

  • Hot Off the Presses

    Introduced with this release, we have rolled out a few additions to the product hotkeys to help you navigate selections and tasks with a few easy keystrokes. For the latest keyboard shortcuts, visit our Knowledge Base.

  • Jumpstart Your Day with Bulk Actions

    Ready to start or end your dispatching day? With easy to use functionality, you can now bulk activate or deactivate drivers for your on-demand operations with the click of a button.

  • Follow the Breadcrumbs

    In line with our classic driver management tools, the revamped Visual Dispatch Board features breadcrumb tracking allowing a precise and continuous flow of GPS data for operational visibility.

  • Info You Need at a Glance

    Expand or collapse an on-demand shipment and driver summary from the dispatch map view. The summary gives you an interactive snapshot plotting relevant data on the map to help you quickly filter and view navigation data.

  • Get Driver Info with a Click

    A new feature introduced with the refresh, you can now launch a window detailing a driver's active work from the dispatch board. Active work displays all assigned shipments for a driver in both list and map view.

  • Time is of the Essence

    If you work across states and time zones, keeping up with time differences can be crucial. The action menu time zone option in visual dispatch board allow you to easily set and change the time zone displayed to help you stay in sync.

  • Created Enterprise Single Sign-On functionality for the Client Portal that can be configured within Operations>Maintenance>Single Sign-On (SSO) module.
  • Implemented Parcel Item Barcodes for route and on-demand shipments within the classic Operations App.
  • Implemented the ability for new parcel item barcodes to be chained to parcels or master barcodes and automatically updated when receive scanned.
  • Created new Refrigeration Enforcement settings for parcel items, with the choices to be optional, required, required with parcel match, or required with a barcode scan match.
  • Added “Ambient” as a new parcel type refrigeration setting.
  • Implemented a Parcel Type Refrigeration Code feature.
  • Implemented Parcel Items scanning chaining, so parcel item barcodes are displayed as expected throughout the parcel assignments along with their parent parcel.
  • Addition of the Operations App into a progressive web app, so the stand-alone application can now be saved as an application and pinned to a user’s toolbar.
  • Implemented the ability to activate/deactivate route stop restrictions for completed route stops.
  • New feature added to the route dispatch board’s right-click menu and the route manifest’s Edit menu that allows users to deactivate/activate all stops in bulk, so it no longer has to be done one by one.
  • Created the ability for users to clone routes from the route dispatch board and route planning right-click menus.

  • Updated report formats for the Client Portal to add Parcel Item data to Print and Email Parcel reports within Parcel Tracking.
  • Updated Parcel Tracking in the Client Portal to implement new Parcel Item Barcode info.
  • Updated Client Portal Route Tracking to implement Parcel Item Barcodes.
  • Implemented new Parcel Item Refrigeration Enforcement options to Maintenance > Parcel Items in Operations.
  • Added “Require w/Refrigeration Code Scan Match” to the Parcel Type Refrigeration Enforcement in Parcel Types.
  • Improved the Operations Find to be user-friendly and intuitive.
  • Added two new saved Finds for reviewing driver settlements by batch ID for on-demand and routed shipments.
  • Improved performance of order retrieval in both the classic and the visual dispatch board.
  • Added in the ability to autodetect Mac users, so the keyboard shortcuts on the Visual Dispatch Board will display specific to user’s computer.
  • Added a new option called “Custom Procedure” into the Global Options>Misc Tab>Customer ID Algorithm drop-down menu, so customers can have more control over their new account ID creations.
  • Added a “Reset Username” feature to the Client Portal login page to allow SSO users to reset their username if they enter in invalid information.
  • Added the ability for users to click the Visual Dispatch left navigation button more than once, so users can reopen the new browser window page without having to navigate from/to the page again.

What's Fixed πŸ› β€‹

  • Fixed an issue with the Operations Visual Dispatch “Active Work” page’s right-click menu options.
  • Fixed an issue with permanently overriding distances on orders when using a Distance Factor greater than 1.
  • Fixed an issue where the View OS&D option on the route manifest was not maintaining the user’s last selection upon navigating to the form.
  • Fixed a UI issue where the right-click menu on the Visual Dispatch Board could be out of the default view depending on where the order was located within the grid.
  • Fixed an issue where Assigned Fleet for orders due were not calculated correctly when using spGetNewFleetAssignment and geo zones/streets are being used.
  • Fixed an issue within Operations App > Human Resources > Deductions where the Start and End Dates were not showing in the grid until the save button was clicked.
  • Fixed an issue where an error may occur if the user attempts to validate addresses multiple times from the Addresses landing page in the modern Operations App.

Works in Progress 🏭

  • An unexpected error is received while adding items to an order in the classic Operations App.
    Workaround: To avoid this issue, select an item for every row selected on the Order’s Charges tab or select the row headers and completely remove the row created.
  • Subscription-based reports fail to export and generate an email when certain field types like TimeStamp are included.
    Workaround: Do not include the TimeStamp field, as it is not supported.
  • Lat/Lon values are not being copied over for cloning of Inet User Address books.
    Workaround: Run an Internet User Address Points bulk address update. This will run all the internet addresses through the validation process and assign updated Lat/Lon values.
  • Internet User columns do not always sort as expected in the classic Operations App.
    Workaround: Click on any cell besides the header or the column that is selected, then click on the column again to sort in the other order.
  • An error occurs in the Operations App when a user tries to email settlements to drivers that do not have an associated email address and/or settlement message format within their human resources record.
    Workaround: Update the driver’s human resource record with an email address and/or settlement message format.
  • Operations Monitor – Help – View Manual results in a run-time error ’13’ type mismatch.
