Though we’ve been at the courier software development game for 25 years, it is not often that we get to release features that are a significant uplift in the actual technical infrastructure of our core product line. With the introduction of routed work into the Visual Dispatch Board, we are one step closer to the next generation of our fully modernized, web-centric logistics solution.Β

While the transition to the revamped Operations App may appear like a cosmetic improvement to our shipment management platform, the switch is in fact a major modernization of our engineering and development approach. From programming languages and process standardization to engineering best practices and an emphasis on the user experience, our modern application enhancements are a true elevation of not only the products we are creating for you, but also a testament to the innovative, creative environment we are fostering within.Β

Now join us to take a peek at the routed capabilities coming your way in the 24.4 release!

  • Your Shipments at a Glance

With the simple selection of a tab in the Visual Dispatch Board, you can easily switch back and forth between viewing your route and on-demand shipments.

  • Customizable View to Fit Your Needs

With customized layouts, you can choose from a variety of views to have the shipment data that matters most at your disposal. Drag and resize different portions of the screen to see more of what you need, move your map or grid to a new position, choose full map mode, select grid only mode to focus on your routed dispatching data, and more.

  • 50 is Your Magic Number

Want to get a look at your routes for the day? Pin up to 50 routes on the Visual Dispatch Board at a time. Yes, that's right - 50 routes. Routes could have 5 stops or 105 stops - you can still pin up to 50 total routes at a time!

  • Drag, Drop, and Go!

Easily assign a route to a driver in the Visual Dispatch Board. Drag a route from the Routed Shipments panel and drop them onto the driver in the Drivers panel to complete the assignment. Done!

  • Route Optimization

You can select Optimize Route right from the action menu in the modern Operations App. Users can select the specific routes and assigned stops to optimize.

  • Resequencing Made Easy

Drag and drop stops in the Route Stops Manifest inside the modern Operations App to easily change the sequence of stops.

  • Refresh Without Losing Your Spot

If you find yourself switching between on-demand and routed often throughout the day, have no fear! Your pinned shipments will persist when you return to the previous map option.

  • Create a Unique Experience in Each Tab

Control what you see individually on the Routed or On-demand tabs with pinnable icons. Users can select frequently used menu items to pin in each tab.

  • Ready, Set, Action!

All your favorite action items are available in the Route Manifest view in the modern Operations App including Activate/Deactivate All Stops, Sequence or Auto Sequence Route, Set Driver Pay, Print, Export, and more.

  • Get Driver Info with a Click

Like the functionality for on-demand shipments, you can launch a window detailing a driver's active work from the Driver panel on the dispatch board. Active work displays all assigned routes for a driver in both list and map view, and allows you to pin both on-demand and routed shipments at the same time in this view.

Workaround: Do not include the TimeStamp field, as it is not supported.

Workaround: Run an Internet User Address Points bulk address update. This will run all the internet addresses through the validation process and assign updated Lat/Lon values.

Workaround: Click on any cell besides the header or the column that is selected, then click on the column again to sort in the other order.
  • An error occurs in the Operations App when a user tries to email settlements to drivers that do not have an associated email address and/or settlement message format within their human resources record.
