RELEASE NOTES
Version: 25.2
You asked and we delivered. This is a big update that adds hard enforcement for geofencing. With hard enforcement enabled, drivers outside of the geofence radius will not be able to complete their workflow. This is an exciting addition and we’ll break down how it works in detail below.
In this update, you can also look forward to performance upgrades for the Visual Dispatch Board, On-Demand Shipments and Maintenance modules, as well as new modules ported to the Modern Operations App. We’re also adding more pins, hotkeys and dashboard widgets. Sirens on!
We’ve made several upgrades to the Visual Dispatch Board. First, the total pins supported for On-Demand Shipment and driver pins has been increased to 250 at a time, letting you turn the map into confetti if you so choose.
Multiple driver pins in the same exact location now group together as well.
Second, we upgraded the performance of the Visual Dispatch Board (as well as On-Demand Shipments and Maintenance modules while we were at it), giving you faster load times and speed.
Third, we added hotkeys to the Visual Dispatch Board’s Routed work view for seamless operation. Simply go to the Visual Dispatch Board > Routed work view > Three-Dot menu > Keyboard Shortcuts.
Customers, Items, Agents, CRM and other essential modules have been ported over in recent releases to the Modern Operations App. With 25.2, we’re now bringing over the Holiday Posting Schedule and Custom Procedures modules as well, with a simplified UI we think you’ll appreciate.
You can access both under the Maintenance menu.
In the Operations App > Maintenance > Geofences, you can now set enforcement settings on a geofence record to Ignore, Warn or Enforce, to suit every use case. Ignore lets you preserve the record but with no enforcement; you can always change the enforcement level another time if you need to. Warn will alert the driver if they are attempting to complete the workflow outside of the Geofence Radius set on the record – this is identical to the pre-release behavior of enforcement.
Of course, we know what you’re really excited about is the new Enforce option. This is hard enforcement which prevents the driver from completing their workflow if they are outside the Geofence Radius on the geofence record. They’ll either need to get back into the radius or they’ll need to contact their dispatcher to request a manual override.
For dispatchers managing huge fleets, new drivers and expansive operations, we know this is something you’ve asked for, that will make your life easier. We can’t wait to see how you make use of this new capability. We look forward to your engagement, and feedback, on this brand new functionality. If you are newer to Geofences, you can watch a great video on getting started with them here.
