We live in a fast world, and it only gets faster every year. The need for logistics will continue growing but with that opportunity comes the challenge of keeping pace with the crowd. So, this release is all about helping you stay mobile, get things done quick and move on to the next thing!

 

A new mobile-friendly dispatch board means you can manage operations while you’re on the move. The post/unpost tool is now ten times faster for users with multiple business units. And you can now convert shipments into stops with our added Add to Route modal instead of having to input them manually. We also see several classic modules modernized for the Operations App. Let’s get a move on!

👟Stay Mobile👟

At your request, we’ve implemented a brand new dispatch board specially designed for use on mobile devices and small tablets. We know as the industry has evolved and expanded, so too has the need for dispatchers to manage operations on the go, from anywhere.

 

Now, all small-screen devices will automatically pull up this mobile-friendly dispatch board. You don’t need to do anything special to use it – it’s ready for all users by default! Highly functional and readable, you’ll now be able to manage drivers, shipments, routes, and more on the move!

🎯Rapid Fire Posting🎯

We heard your feedback loud and clear – it’s a drag when you’re trying to post/unpost your shipments and you need to do it for each and every Business Unit. For users with lots of Business Units to manage, posting to each one was both time-consuming and repetitive.

 

So we’re giving you exactly what you asked for, and you can now select multiple Business Units at the same time for post/unpost actions, saving you a ton of time. Instead of having to work through each Business Unit one-by-one, you can now address them all in one action. It’s a smaller change but one we know you’ll appreciate!

📦Add to Route📦

From the Visual Dispatch Board, you now have a great new right-click menu option for Shipments, Add to Route. This brand new feature will bring up a modal where you can easily drag & drop stops into a route sequence column in seconds.

 

Being able to modify and rearrange the Route Sequence like Lego pieces is both a huge time and brain-saver. Instead of having to manually input new stops, you can slot the existing ones into place.

 

Opening the modal is super easy. From the Visual Dispatch Board, right-click on any Shipment and select Add to Route from the menu.

🎓Graduation Ceremony🎓

This release also sees several valuable modules modernized for your web-based Operations App. The Customer Record has passed through beta testing and is now available for all users. If this will be your first time using it, you will love the new Customer Record’s UI and layout, which makes it easier than ever to quickly review or change customer info.

 

An elegant tab system makes every view neat and organized, keeping navigation simple… even while you’re entertaining a phone call between your neck and shoulder! The Agents and Items modules have also been brought over into the modern Operations App, which you will find under the Maintenance tab.

What's New 📰

In the Operations App...

  • NEW: Added a mobile-friendly dispatch board that appears when viewing the Visual Dispatch Board and Active Work views on phones and small tablets.
  • NEW: The Post/Unpost module lets you now select multiple Business Units at the same time, instead of having to post/unpost to each one seperately.
  • NEW: Added the ability to convert shipments into route stops with a simple drag & drop interface from the Visual Dispatch Board

What's Improved 📈​

In the Operations App...

  • Swapping between Business Units more clearly informs users that unsaved changes will be discarded
  • Customers set as Inactive, Blacklisted or Credit Hold will no longer have recurring shipments and contract stops posted to them
  • The Status Codes module under Maintenance > Status Codes was changed to make it more clear when a field cannot be edited
  • Made the error message more clear if a user enters a value too large into the Credit Limit field under Customers > [Customer Record] > Invoices 
  • Driver status color coding behavior has been enhanced on the Visual Dispatch Board
  • Visual behavior has been improved when using the Edit Driver function from the Visual Dispatch Board
  • The Charges tab on the On-Demand Shipment form now only displays unique charge items, so that users cannot accidentally select a duplicate
  • Rate charts have more info displayed in the [Customer Record] > Accounting tab
  • User permission enforcement behavior for the Find tool now matches intended, historical behavior 
  • Very long origin and destination comments now print better onto shipping labels
  • Readability of several fields within the Customer Record was improved
  • Addresses and address columns in the Depots module now behave as intended
  • Improved behavior of the Active Tasks window
  • Navigation improved by adding a scrollbar to certain menus within the Visual Dispatch Board
  • Column header naming in the GL Accounts module adjusted to be consistent with records
  • A visual indicator was added for drag & drop functionality on the Visual Dispatch Board, making it more clear what shipments are being dragged onto what driver and vice versa

In the Client Portal...

  • Added field for phone number to the Edit Address modal

What's Fixed

In the Operations App...

  • Fixed an issue where Driver Order Sequences on the Visual Dispatch Board were not displaying correctly
  • Fixed an issue where the State field on the On-Demand Shipment form would become unresponsive
  • Fixed an issue where Location and Lookup Barcode functionality on the On-Demand Shipment form wasn’t available
  • Fixed an issue that was causing large Driver Settlements to process slower than normal in some circumstances
  • Fixed an issue where the confirmation prompt for assigning drivers to routes was not displaying
  • Fixed an issue with quantity validation of Parcel Items
  • Fixed an issue in the Operations App > Find tool > Updated Finds/Reports with pagination
  • Fixed an issue where the Visual Dispatch Board was not updating times the times displayed after a user changes the time zone
  • Fixed an issue where default customer templates were not assigning the correct service types in some circumstances
  • Fixed an edge case error caused by assigning a Shipment to a driver they both do not have the capability for AND the capability contains a ‘-” in the name
  • Fixed an issue where a Missing Proof-of-Delivery alert email was not displaying the return email details correctly
  • Fixed an issue where invalid searches in the Parcel Portal would return an error message with the wrong text
  • Fixed an issue where Route ID, Contract Stop ID, and Signature Columns were not displaying
  • Fixed an issue where drivers would not be able to respond to messages from dispatchers if the email associated with the driver’s fleet field was left blank
  • Fixed an issue with CC’ed email addresses not being populated on emailed settlements in some circumstances
  • Fixed an issue where Destination comments were not appearing properly in the Shipments pane of the Visual Dispatch Board
  • Fixed an issue with audit trails not correctly displaying the deletion of a credit card authorization
  • Fixed an issue with button behavior for emailing a Find tool result
  • Fixed an issue where, when no driver is assigned to a shipment and the user inputs ALT + 5 to mark as “Next Stop”, an erroneous warning is returned
  • Fixed an edge case error that would occur if a parcel had more than 30,000 items
  • Fixed an importing issue with XML Direct

  • Fixed an issue where assigning default origin and destination addresses could return an error in some circumstances
  • Fixed an issue where users without permission to edit orders would also erroneously be prevented from editing route stops
  • Fixed an issue where text drag selecting was not working properly in the Parcel Portal
  • Fixed an issue where users who do not have Address Entry permissions would get an erroneous prompt
  • Fixed an issue with an erroneous warning would appear when editing addresses on a saved order
  • Fixed an issue where Parcel Refrigeration Types could not be removed from a parcel under some circumstances
  • Fixed an issue where invoices paid via credit card were not displaying within historical reports in some circumstances
  • Fixed an issue where location scanning addresses were not validating
