Client Portal Updates

Sliding into the
New Year with Ease

Hooray for the New Year! πŸŽ‰ We can’t wait to share what’s in store for product updates and new features. Our solutions have come a long way from our early days launching CXT Software 25 years ago, and we’re excited to continue innovating over the next 25!

Β

We’re starting off the year with improvements to shipment creation in the Client Portal. The ability for your customers to seamlessly create, track, and pay for shipments keeps everyone’s businesses moving along smoothly. We’ve been beefing up the capabilities and customization options for the Client Portal over the last several releases and this one is no different.

Β

Let’s get down to business – here is what you need to know about our first release of 2024!

CXT Software Client Portal

Scan = Order βœ…

Creating shipments has never been easier for your customers. We’ve paved the way in previous releases with order templates, shopping carts, and one-click ordering based on recent shipments.

Β

Now, with new configuration options available in the Operations App, you can allow customers to manually or automatically create new shipment entries with the scan of a 2D barcode. Scan and go!

Β

Following a scan into the Client Portal, options available to customers include:

  • Manual Placement: Populates the shipment data and allows the Client Portal user to review the information before proceeding with the new order.
  • Auto Placement: Each scan automatically generates and completes a new order, allowing for continuous scanning. A confirmation message will be displayed as each shipment is processed.
  • Add to Cart: Each scan automatically generates a new order and places it into the cart. This option also allows for continuous scanning. Upon scanning completion, the Client Portal user can review the new shipments within the cart before proceeding.Β Β

It’s that simple. Scan the 2D barcode, the shipment is created in the portal, and they’re done! πŸ“¦

Time to Upgrade!

Works in Progress 🏭

  • An unexpected error is received while adding items to an order in the classic Operations App.
Workaround: To avoid this issue, select an item for every row selected on the Order’s Charges tab or select the row headers and completely remove the row created.
  • Subscription-based reports fail to export and generate an email when certain field types like TimeStamp are included.
Workaround: Do not include the TimeStamp field, as it is not supported.
  • Lat/Lon values are not being copied over for cloning of Inet User Address books.
Workaround: Run an Internet User Address Points bulk address update. This will run all the internet addresses through the validation process and assign updated Lat/Lon values.
  • Internet User columns do not always sort as expected in the classic Operations App.
Workaround: Click on any cell besides the header or the column that is selected, then click on the column again to sort in the other order.
  • An error occurs in the Operations App when a user tries to email settlements to drivers that do not have an associated email address and/or settlement message format within their human resources record.
Workaround: Update the driver’s human resource record with an email address and/or settlement message format.
  • Operations Monitor – Help – View Manual results in a run-time error ’13’ type mismatch.

What's Coming in 2024 πŸŽβ€‹

  • Routed functionality in the revamped Visual Dispatch Board
