App Performance = On-Time Deliveries

App Performance =
On-Time Deliveries

Let’s face it. Service times can take a toll on your drivers’ on-time delivery performance. A few minutes lost here and there at a stop can have a domino effect on their itinerary. The last thing you need is technology holding your driver back from getting on the road to their next shipment.

We are rolling out a number of performance enhancements to the functionality of the app to speed up syncing and data retrieval. These critical backend improvements help save valuable time allowing your drivers to complete their tasks and move along through their day.

Want to maximize your shipment documentation without anyone having to come in on Sunday to play catch up?

Take full advantage of the workflow customization of your Driver App by utilizing Required Driver Input. The Driver App is fully customizable to prompt questions or notes at various stages of the workflow. You can notify the driver at arrival to check the front desk for additional shipments and input the name of the receptionist, ask them to check the temperature of a refrigerated parcel and note the value, or insert a reminder to take an action before their next shipment. Inputs can be assigned for on-demand shipments and route stops allowing drivers to collect valuable information for dispatchers and clients along the way.

Utilizing attachments is another useful tool to help drivers, dispatchers, and clients keep important documents in sync with a shipment. Drivers can attach documents, including signed contracts and printed packing lists, to a shipment right in the app. The uploaded documents are visible in the Operations App and Client Portal ensuring everyone can actually find a record of it.

23.3 Release Updates

What's New 📰

  • Added a new option that allows surcharges to auto-calculate based on a manual user override of a driver’s base pay on a live order.
  • New setting option for Basic Route Optimization on-demand configuration called “Ignore Exact Address Matches.” This setting allows users to determine whether additional service time should be added to the ETA assessment when the driver has multiple on-demand orders for the exact same location.

New Human Resources Classifications
Two additional Worker Class options are now available in the Human Resources function of the Operations App:
Agent Subcontractor
Outsourced Subcontractor

What's Improved 📈

  • Increased performance within CXT Driver when scanning parcel overages.
  • Improved work order sync performance within CXT Driver.
  • Improvement made to persist the time zone setting on the classic Operations App on-demand dispatch board allowing users to select the time zone of their choice and have it maintained when they navigate to/from the page and log in/out of the application.
  • Added the Booked Amount and Advanced Fallback pay options to the “tblLkupRoutePayTypes” Lookup Table.

What's Fixed 🛠

  • Fixed an issue with posting a route stop via the API if the StopClass value was missing or null.
  • Fixed an issue with submitting route stops via the API if they did not have a Required Driver Input specified.
  • Fixed an issue where billing group was not being passed from the order to a stop when the order was route sorted.
  • Fixed an issue that was allowing drivers to edit and delete attachments after the stop had been completed.
  • Fixed an issue where routed driver pay was not able to be recalculated for a previous post date when the post date was altered on the route stop form.
  • Fixed an intermittent issue that would occasionally cause an error to display when cloning route stops.
  • Fixed an issue where an error could be thrown when emailing certain invoice formats if one of the selected dynamic fields had no related data.
  • Fixed an issue where an error could be thrown when cancelling an order within the classic Operations App that has more than one driver assigned.

Works in Progress 🏭

  • An unexpected error is received while adding items to an order in the classic Operations App.
Workaround: To avoid this issue, select an item for every row selected on the Order’s Charges tab or select the row headers and completely remove the row created.
  • Subscription-based reports fail to export and generate an email when certain field types like TimeStamp are included.
Workaround: Do not include the TimeStamp field, as it is not supported.
  • Lat/Lon values are not being copied over for cloning of Inet User Address books.
Workaround: Run an Internet User Address Points bulk address update. This will run all the internet addresses through the validation process and assign updated Lat/Lon values.
  • Internet User columns do not always sort as expected in the classic Operations App.
Workaround: Click on any cell besides the header or the column that is selected, then click on the column again to sort in the other order.
  • An error occurs in the Operations App when a user tries to email settlements to drivers that do not have an associated email address and/or settlement message format within their human resources record.
Workaround: Update the driver’s human resource record with an email address and/or settlement message format.
  • Operations Monitor – Help – View Manual results in a run-time error ’13’ type mismatch.

What's Coming 🎁

  • Automated and scheduled credit card processing
  • Customized messages for SMS notifications
  • Enhanced parcel-centric search in the modern Operations App
